For many people, the escorted tour offers peace of mind, structure, and support during what can be a significant and life‑changing experience, not just from me, but from others that are travelling the same road as you.

Travelling alone can often be risky, especially if you are travelling to a country you have not been to before.

Going on an escorted tour is far safer and more convenient than travelling individually because you are paying for local knowledge, private transfers.

You could save a little by planning surgery on your own, but this experience is about you. Focusing on how you feel and leaving the logistics to someone else can make the whole journey much easier.

 

I am currently taking expressions of interest for October 2026 

This will depend on the Iran crisis being resolved and there being no wider global issues that need to be taken into account.

Proposed Itinerary

This itinerary is intended as a guide only, full schedule will be supplied on application

Day 1    Depart New Zealand; we will be met at LAX for a private transfer to our hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Day 2    Los Angeles - a gentle settling in day - sleep in, hydrate and enjoy light sightseeing or premium shopping at your own pace.

Day 3    Another ‘put you first’ day in Los Angeles.

Day 4    Private transfer to Tijuana. Check in, unwind and enjoy a quiet evening with everything taken care of.

Day 5   Admission at Hospital Blue & Medical Tower for final preop checks prior to surgery later today.

Day 6    Post operative recovery in hospital.

Day 7    Discharge and private transfer to San Diego. 

Days 8 and 9   San Diego, free time for you to relax and potentially explore this historic city.

Day 10   Private transfer to San Diego airport for our return home to New Zealand.

Why Wait Bariatric Tours Service Fee

I charge a booking fee of $800 NZD.

This covers my time and travel involved in supporting you throughout your journey.

The only time extra costs might come up is if you decide to cancel or change your plans after your travel documents have been issued., as airlines and accommodation providers typically charge their own cancellation or change fees in those situations.
