Why I started Why Wait Bariatric Tours
I started Why Wait Bariatric Tours because over the years, I tried many ways to lose weight. Once I turned the big 50 it was getting harder and harder to remain committed. Some 'fixes' worked for a while, but none lasted. Each regain was quietly disappointing, making me feel tired of starting again.
My health was starting to be influenced by being overweight and this was starting to worry me. I did not want to be a burden on the health system or my family. I knew what to do in theory, but fitting it into a busy, high-pressure life was another matter.
I bit the bullet and committed to travelling for bariatric surgery in Mexico early in 2026 and honestly, I wish I had done it at least 5 years earlier!
I had an excellent experience earlier this year and want to help guide like-minded New Zealanders through this journey.
My philosophy is nothing ventured, nothing gained - congratulations on taking the first step for a better you... by even checking out my site you are making a positive move forward ❤️
